Free Open Day in Amsterdam - June 1st 2024
Quickie sessions (10-15min)- a short version of the full session, meant to give a taste of the possibilities the method can provide. (you will get to experience a few different quickies..)
Movement class - a practice we do together to explore the body and discover it trough our own movements.

What to expect
Sessions are held fully dressed, sitting or lying in different positions on a specialized Feldenkrais table. Sometimes the session can include a more active form of bodywork, with the patient exploring infinite ways in which their body can move. The patient is encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows free range of movement. Sessions usually last between 60 to 90 minutes, including a short talk.
In each session, I acquire feedback about the patient’s body and functions through a playful collaboration. I start by moving the patient in different directions with various techniques on a specialized Feldenkrais table. This can also include bodywork in which the patient takes a more active role in discovering the richness of movement.
As the session progresses, I gain insight into habitual movement patterns and explore movement that doesn’t cause conflict. This fresh information optimizes dialogue within the patient’s whole system: Movement returns to parts of the body where communication was disrupted due to pain, injury or emotional distress.
As the patient takes these insights into everyday life, the body learns how to move without conflict and pain is alleviated and prevented. The body’s natural ability to heal is encouraged and performance improves dramatically.
